Educator

In my outreach work I encourage and support individuals to pursue their own creative journey.  I supply materials and guidance following Reggio Emilia principles ie. focussing on process above results.  A key strand of my practice has been working with pre- and primary school children.  I’m deeply interested in the potential of early creativity as a core language.  I explore how nurturing intuition, curiosity and playfulness in childhood can build a foundation for lifelong inquisitiveness and confidence. This philosophy underpins my research and drives my belief in the importance of giving people space to explore and create freely.

My emphasis is in paint, sculpture, print and video but I welcome all media, favouring natural and recyclable materials as well as working outdoors in nature wherever possible.

Across all areas of my practice, I am drawn to the concept of potential; that is of materials, of ideas and of people.  Whether working with young children, people with learning difficulty or adults in search of self-understanding, my aim is to open a space where creativity becomes a catalyst for connection, insight and empowerment.
