Artist
Since graduating in 2013, my practice has developed in two intertwined strands: my own autobiographical work – primarily in sculpture, print and video – and my socially engaged practice as an art educator and researcher. These areas inform and feed one another, both rooted in an ongoing interest in process, materiality and human connection. I also remain interested in transitional object theory and the interplay of objects, memory and the imagination.
During 2017-2019 I completed a self imposed Artist Residency in Motherhood observing and documenting the order and chaos inherent in any parenting journey which, amongst other outcomes, led to a written inclusion in internationally distributed book “Mother’s Days’ by Lenka Clayton.
From 2019-2024 I undertook a residency at a kindergarten within Marwell Zoo exploring natural responses by young children to the availability of materials and an artist.
I research and create using a variety of media.
